Ok, so you have found a site style that you like. Now all that remains is to submit your text and images for your new site.
Text and graphics for each of your pages should be submitted in Word or RTF format for text and .gif or .jpg format for images. If you have any questions concerning these file delineations, please ask your Internet Identity Specialist.
Text submitted will be placed in your site “as-is”, ie., we will not spell or grammar check your documents. If we find any glaring errors, we will correct them, of course, but we are not responsible for page content.
Remember, you are allotted up to 7 pages in your new site. Our suggestions:
Home Page: 3-5 paragraphs. This space should be used to introduce yourself, your experience, your firms, practice areas handled, geographic region of service (cities and counties, etc). It is best to use words and phrases that accurately portray the key benefits of your practice, as the search engines will scan your homepage for words and phrases that will assist them in matching your site with potential client searches. Reasonable repetition of key words and phrases that outline your practice area, geographic location and profession are useful.
Profile/ Experience Page: 3-5 paragraphs describing your education, legal experience, associations, and a brief description of your professional abilities will suffice. Make this information easy to read and follow and personal. Potential clients will read this and decide not only if you have the experience they think their legal issue requires, but also if they can work closely with you. Keep it simple and accurate.
Practice Areas/ Areas of Expertise: Include detailed definitions of your practices areas or areas of expertise. Describe the types of cases you handle within these areas and also the types of cases you do not handle. You do not want to waste time with clients that you cannot help. Educating clients as to what you do not do is sometimes as important to your business as telling them what you do do.
Contact Us Page: This page is crucial to every Web site. Give visitors easy access to you at all times. Sometimes they will want to email you and other times they may want to call. Our sites are designed so that clients can easily find your contact information. You may add a personal message on your contact page that will encourage contact. If you offer free consultations, this is a great place to state that information.
